OFFICIAL VISITING AND WORKING OF THE DEPUTY MINISTER – MINISTRY OF PUBLIC WORKS AND TRANSPORTATION OF THE KINGDOM OF CAMBODIA AT THE OFFICE OF GLOBAL LOGISTICS SERVICES CO., LTD (GLS)

      GLS - On August 17, 2022, GLOBAL LOGISTIC SERVICES CO., LTD (GLS) was honored to welcome the visit of the Deputy Minister of Transport and Public Works of the Kingdom of Cambodia Mr. Pen Boran and the Consulate General of Cambodia in Ho Chi Minh City Mr. Sok Dareth. During the visit, GLS's leadership had the opportunity to express and discuss with the Deputy Minister the difficulties in logistics activities between the two neighboring countries, Vietnam and Cambodia

      This is the first visit of Mr. Pen Boren, vi Minister of Transport and Public Works of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and the delegation to the office of GLOBAL LOGISTIC SERVICES CO., LTD (GLS). During the visit, the two leaders had the opportunity to discuss the problems and difficulties in the Logistic field related to cross-border modes of transport, including road transport and inland waterways between Vietnam and Cambodia. The meeting focused on the development of Logistics activities and new procedures related to electronic clearance and freight to help the transport and circulation of goods.

At the meeting, Deputy Minister Mr. Pen Boran commended and
encouraged the positive contributions of GLS to the field of Logistics
in the Cambodian market. GLS has contributed to promoting the
growth of two-way trade and import-export turnover between the
two countries by focusing on investing and exploiting freight routes
to Cambodia. Leaders of the two sides were frank in exchanging

 
 ideas, making assessments, problems, and solutions; to improve and enhance the competitiveness, quality, and efficiency of the logistic service industry between the borders of the two countries. 
        Through the visit and work of Deputy Minister Pen Boran at the GLS office, the Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia has shown particular interest in strengthening and promoting economic, political, and special cooperation relations. Especially commercial activities, transportation, and trade of goods between the national borders of Vietnam - Cambodia. This is a significant opportunity and task of GLS to continue developing and improving Logistics technical ability to promote trade, increase the flow of goods, and increase import and export turnover. The goal of GLS is to build and develop cooperative relationships between the logistic business associations of Vietnam and Cambodia

     The visit ended with a more satisfactory result; both sides promptly discussed solutions and specific plans to solve the remaining difficulties and inadequacies of processes and regulations of the transport and trade of goods between the two countries. Long-term and short-term goals and strategies are also hot subjects discussed and agreed to bring practical solutions with a vision to 2027.

     After the meeting, the GLS Board of Directors considered this an excellent opportunity to start a journey to develop logistic activities and services between the two countries vigorously. GLS is committed to focusing on completing projects and plans to expand this cooperation quickly and in line with the expectations of both Vietnam and Cambodia.
